Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

It seems to me to be the only galaxy which revealed more when the mag was stepped up, as they tend to fade away the higher the mag.
I was using a 12" Lightbridge, and it was good at x60, much better at x90, and best at X100, with the dust lane very clear.

Thats is an ace image of it.. and it makes me think.. The gas belt around the galactic centre.. The galaxy is approx 75 thousand light years across.. three dimensions.. that means the rear of the galaxy, as we observe it, is 75 thousand years older than the front. and the over all image is 30 million years old.

And people think America is far Away!!

Superb image Tom, but is there any chance of linking us to a larger, original size one? :D
