Gamma Ray Burst Mar 19th was created by JohnONeill
Hi,
Earlier today (19th Mar 06:00 UT) there was an gamma ray burst (GRB 080319B)
at:
RA: 14 31 40.98 , Dec: +36 18 8.8 (J2000)
this is about 2 deg south of Gamma Boo. It reached mag 6 in the visible!
It has now faded below mag 16.
It is unlikely to be recorded from here as the dawn was coming, but maybe someone in the west of Ireland was photographing the brightening sky,
John

Hi John,
I was actually imaging a exoplanet transit near where the GRB erupted up to around 05.00 hrs this AM.
If I had known about the alert I would have imaged it.
Do you have a link to the alerts?
