History of Clubs, Societies was created by JohnONeill
Hi,
I am doing a bit of research on Astronomical Societies in Ireland.
I am looking for (mainly) two pieces of infomation.
1. When some of the clubs were founded.
2. Also I would be please to receive infomation on defunct Societies, e.g. Clonmel Centre of IAS, Ulster AS, JASI. Including how long they were active.
thanks
John

TAS was founded in 1986. There is a good historical write up on the website,

We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time. . . .
