You don't need to connect through the program to contact redshift! They must have contact details on their website!

I can't connect through the programme to do that! Hence the alternate serial request. I'll find an alternate way.

In that case I think you're at the root of the problem. The error you posted mentioned a server being down! It was not an error telling you the code was wrong.

but what a way to go.
+ 12"LX200, MK67, Meade2045, 4"refractor

Tough. Its becoming an increasingly annoying practice. With some things needing to be online in order to run each time.
