I've just this morning received this CD book and I felt I had to
post up here to let any beginner or intermediate astrophotographers out there that this
book is a must.

I purchased it directly from his website
www.astropix.com/HTML/K_MISC/BOOKS.HTM
for $36 inc postage.

The CD book format is great as it allows for web links and
video tutorials to be embedded which make for a great interactive
learning process.

In 6 chapters he pretty much covers everything you need to know
and also gives excellent advice and tips he has learned over the years.
The chapters are:
1. Cameras for Astrophotography
2. Equipment for Digital Astrophotography
3. How Digital Cameras Work
4. Taking Pictures
5. Image Processing
6. Archiving and Output

and,

Video Tutorials
Practice Files
Search Engine
Glossary

I bought this book simply because I'm starting to dabble into
basic deep sky photography and although I had a good idea about
setup, image capture and processing for this kind of work,
I wanted to have a good grounding in the basics first.
This book offers that and much more.

I've now ordered his other CD book
'Photoshop for Astrophotographers'
