how do you decide what you want and what you need?

hey dave. Thats a most generous offer!!! i have to get my scope first( end of the month when i get paid!) but on the next star party i will take up your offer to try some of your eyepieces. can anyone tell me when/where the next star party is, close to dublin ( as i live in stilorgan and have no car at present) and whats the best starparty thats held in ireland?

You're very welcome! My geography is as good as my history (rubbish) - perhaps SDAS is the club for you? They operate out of Ranelagh (Gonzaga College) and have an active membership with frequent lectures and observing sessions. Membership is free

I'm not sure how I'd get the eyepieces/filters to you but we can cross that bridge when you get your scope.
