when's the next star party?

ive spent about 2 hours out tonight and a about 3 or so hours total this week, in the dry spells where its actually a bit stary. I am not getting used to the SCT, or the co-ordinate system. i actually had more fun with the finder scope ! im just wondering when is the next star party and where, so that i may get some pointers? also, is there anyone in the stillorgan/dundrum/sandyford area that might take pity on me and give me a lift as i dont have a car yet!

I take it you're not referring to the three big annual star-parties but if you are the next one is the Connaght star party in January, the one after that is Cosmos in or around March/April and then the next one is the Whirlpool in or around September/October.

also i think jed will be there! he has i think a Celestron 11" cge and he could give you some pointers! he really does have an amazing setup! he was at the star party last year and he gave a workshop!

no, i wasnt referring to the big'uns, i want to know when the next one near me is on ( im in dublin). ive had replies from a few SDAS members offering me lifts to the next session in Cloon wood! excellently friendly board. this place is more than a discusson, it really is a community! thanks guys.
