New in Ireland was created by Janek
Hello all,
I got job in Galway just now and I propably will stay in Ireland for couple of years. It is good to see that astronomy in Ireland is strong and lots of people are interested in.
In Czech we are mostly amaterur telescope makers (it is cheaper and better to make it on your own). We have very big concetration of 16" dobsons
We also have astro-forum at www.astro-forum.cz , it is very simular to this site. Lots of topics here, were discussed there too. Maybe I can be helpfull.
I am interested in astronomy from my ten. I build couple of scopes and also I am keen observer. Now I have just small bino, but I will bring my 10" dobson in January.
I know there is Galway astro society and they have meeting tomorrow. So hopefully I will found some observing mates
PS: sorry for my bad English

We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started

Hi Janek! first of all welcome to the boards! I also live in galway and there is usually an 'observing session' after the meeting! a few of us bring our scopes along and if the weather is good, have a session!
Welcome again!
