Just Arrived ! was created by Martin Smith.
Hi everyone,
My name is Martin and I currently reside with my family in Mullingar. I am 47 years young, married with two great sons. I've had an interest in astronomy for many years but it's only in the last two years that I have taken a really keen interest. I started out with the binocular pack advertised in A&S magazine and have since purchased a Celestron 80ED refractor. We will be moving house to Rosscommon in the near future and I'm really looking forward to the dark skies . I think my main interest is heading toward astrophotography and I will no doubt be in touch to seek advice in this area. I look forward to exchanging info and chatting with you all in the future .
Regards, Martin.

Hi Martin,
Welcome to the site! Theres no shortage of people capable of advising about astrophotography here, so feel free to ask. Roscommon looks one of the darkest places in the country, good luck with the move!
Cheers,
~Albert

Yip, its pretty dark! Im from Roscommon, and one of the great things about going home on weekends is the sky, with so many background stars its sometimes difficult to pick out the constellations ( when its not raining or cloudy, which is almost never)!!! Congratulations!!
