I was thinking they would have to be large objectives Trev, cause the weight shown is quite heavy. Standard 7x50s would normally be alot lighter.

60mm is correct.

(Maybe my three came from a good batch!)

You can always bring them back.

So the trick here is to test them the day you get them. !

That would be the trick alright! Binos like these would be fine for astronomy I reckon, but a lot of people have noticed before slight colour aberration when seen in bright (daytime) conditions.

Was passing aldi today, I had to pop in. Curiosity got the better of me. I didn't try out the binocs in store but picked up two pairs one for me and another for a guy at work.

Both are %$^**^. Misalligned, hard to focus, not user friendly at all. One side of mine gives a hazy view and images in both sides are not centred. sems to have bak7 prisms also. Not surprised at all, would have been surprised if they were useable

I will be returning mine tomorrow.

Cheers
Trevor

Does any one know how to collimate or adjust these?
I got a pair - they are a bit difficult to focus even with the diopter adjustment and they feel as if they could benefit from a bit of adjustment!

For the price I paid I would be happy to experiment!

I got the Lidl ones last year and they were definitely great at the price and figured spending the 18 euro on these wasn't such a bad investment .

Lets get this in proportion they were still less than 15 quid in old money so just a bit above the 'disposable' price level - ie certainly not an Astronomical level price!
