HOLY CRAP!
Kevin.
Thats a smashing shot!
I know you are only at this lark a wee while and this is
a really good image!
I wish I could get a DSO as good as that!
Post up the details as well..eg. scope / camera and settings etc..
Did you manage to get your hands on Photoshop?
i reckon with a little bit of processing that would reveal all there is to see
in that shot.

Hi Kevin,
Image URLs have to end in .jpg for them to work in this software. I chopped the ?v=0 off the end of the URL to your image and now it's working.
Nice pic BTW!

Well done Kevin. Thats a great starter shot. You are dead right to be thrilled with it. Tell ya what, just revel in the glory of this one and don't worry too much about the pitfalls.
Perhaps give us some details about the equipment used, cameras, scope, exposures etc, that will help with the tips etc.
Welcome to the world of astrophotography. You can now forget about unimportant stuff like sleep, holidays, spouses, kids, breathing, because you have now been assimilated by the astrophotograpy collective. Resistance is futile.
