Has to be Mars.
It's the brightest object in that area right now.

Why so? at the moment im getting good views of it (well, not at the moment, what with the weather! :roll: ). Is it going to get better? brighter?

Saturn will be in opposition next month, i believe.

I dont understand these magnitude numbers...but from what i read i think it generally says the lower the magnitude the brighter the object?
So really a 0.2 mag saturn should be REALLY bright?
Of course the Cassini will be next to invisible (in small scopes anyway).....but the rings should show up as a different colour to the surface (as they do through my little 3.5 inch scope).
*i'm quite happy with the size of Saturn in my scope thank you very much*.
