Which is the better option does anyone know? Buy a Celestron CG5 mount, and then try to upgrade it with the GoTo addition, or buy a CG5GT outright?

HI Seanie,

Why are you going to put yourself through that trouble for. Why not just get a GOTO Mount Because you can't make a none GOTO Mount GOTO.

You can get dual Axis motors. They can make the mount track on both Axis.but it will be still none goto. For around 100euro. But I have never done any imaging with them. so I don't know how well they would make the mount track.

AAAA look John has all you need here www.irishastronomy.org/boards/viewtopic.php?p=66560#66560
