Neximage was created by raymond
Hi All,

I was wondering if anybody had the Neximage, and if they had Windows Vista in their PC/laptop.... I bought the Neximage a few weeks ago, and I am completely unable to stack the pictures... The process wouldn't go the whole way and it freezes. I have all the modifications needed whenever the PC is Windows Vista...
One clear night, my fiance and I were looking at Jupiter. The image that we could see in the laptop wasn't great, but we didn't give up, in case at the end it was worth it, after all the pictures were stacked. We followed the process all the time as we were told, and right in the middle of the stacking process, I get this strange message (can't remember, I've tried a few times, and I've given it up, at least temporarily) that the operation was aborted (I think it was when it had gone through 40% of the process, the computer said). I would really appreciate if anyone could shed some light into all this. Mind you, we were told at the shop that if we had Windows Vista in PC it would be more difficult, but it was never mentioned that it was impossible. We also entered Celestron website and downloaded the Registax for Windows Vista. We did everything. Anyway, if anyone think of something or know something, I would really really appreciate it. Thanks in advance, lads.

Hi Ray,

I have been using this on Vista for a while, with no issues, one thing you could try is to install it in XP SP2 compatibility mode, Right click on the .exe and choose XP SP2 (Or something like that!) and then install.

Having said that, I've just removed vista and installed XP on my laptop, there's just too many smaller programs that just don't work on it correctly. (If you have Vista Business you can downgrade to XP and use the same License Key!)

Hope it helps.

Cheers,
Gary.
