Good location in North Dublin was created by JohnC2009
Hi all,
Just with the day that is in it, can anyone
recommend a good location in North Dublin?
I live close to Malahide.
With clear skies expected for next few days, be
great to get out.
Many thanks,
john

It's probably a bit late now, but I am searching for an area that is relatively dark and safe not to far from
my place. Have found a nice little place out the back of north Dublin heading past the Naul..
Need to get back to check it out with some locals first.

I certainly will.
It obviously throws a lot of LP to the south, but it looks pretty quite area.
Hope to get back out there next week...

I'm originally from Garristown in north dublin, I know of a few places there that would make very good locations. The windmill in garristown village would be the best (it is one of the highest points in north dublin) you can see all the counties touching dublin from there. I have not done any observing here though as I live in the depths of Connamara at the moment.
However if I was travelling out from the city I would probably go a little further west out past lexlip or lucan and try to get a less polluted southern view, although kind of impossible anywhere north of dublin.
