Aldebaran occultation

Good evening, all.
I notice in Neill's notices for December 2015 that the brightest star in Taurus Aldebaran will be occulted by our Moon on Wednesday evening after 6 pm. If it is clear, I will be setting up my 158 mm refractor. It will have to be in my front yard this time. I hope some of us will observe this mighty fine occultation this time round. Aldebaran has a magnitude of +0.9 and has a strong orange colour. The Moon will be 12.5 days old.

I hope to see the disappearance at 6pm and the reappearance at 7pm. The near full Moon may be a challenge.

I fear Storm Eva is going to wipe this out.

According to Accuweather, we have rain coming at 7 pm. So I might get to see Aldebaran disappearing at 18.10 UT.

No sign of the Moon even!
Maybe someone else got a glimpse.
