Aldebaran occultation

Saw nothing at 18.09, but moon visible intermittently now so maybe at 19.06 - Limerick.

That was a nice try by some of you -especially, Eamonn, Finbarr and Paul.
I have just seen Aldebaran on the eastern side of the Moon at 19.17 UT in clear skies. It is such a great pity we I missed the main event. Still maybe in 2016 we will get a good occultation.

Yep, clouded out at both ends here. A pity as it was looking possible earlier but after sunset the clouds went to 100%. Maybe Storm Eva is on the way in.

Oh and sorry -I should have said I was using 9X63 binoculars.

And there we are -typical! The sky has been very clear for the last hour and a half.
I have just seen Aldebaran with my own unaided eye at 20.35 UT.

Did anyone observe the occultation live in Ireland?
