Bright(ish) Supernova was created by Fermidox
It took 22 million years to get here, but the light from Supernova AT 2017 eaw finally reached Earth yesterday. Currently at mag 12.8 it's the brightest N Hemisphere SN since 2014 and may get brighter over the next week. Located handily in the Fireworks Galaxy, NGC 6946 in Cygnus which becomes the first galaxy to host 10 supernovae. Here's a pic from S Vakulenko -
