Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

I was looking at Google maps and I saw that above Glendalough there is a spot close to Turlough Hill. It is not a large space, but if there are only a handful of us, it might work. The only problems are it is slightly below a road, the R756, so there might be blazing headlights, it is in a slight valley and there is a large hill to the south.

Just to let you know, work wise either Friday the 20th or Friday the 27th work well for me.
The sun sets around seven o'clock on each evening, with astronomical twilight at around eight o'clock. The trip times would be approximately fifty minutes to either site.
If anyone has any suggestions for a site, let me know.

I remember being using one of the car parks on that road before and it was quite busy.
I've found two more north of Arklow.
They are parking for the nearby beach. They are both by the road and can only take a few cars.

Maybe we should try Lough Tay again. The road might have been busy but we were back a bit from it.
Michael.

Lough Tay sounds okay, I must try to remember the way. With the bad weather coming in I will not be checking out Kilmichael Point, I will need what next weekend holds.

Hi Michael
There is the Ballinastoe car park, but that is right on the roadside, a little further down the road there is a spur to the right, which looks better, it is a little above the road.
Ben is going to put up a post on Meetup, so may get some more people attending.

Hi Paul,
The spur up the road looks good. It will depend on how many turn up I suppose.
Michael.
