K index is around 6 (depends where you check)
www.dk0wcy.de/magneto/magnet.htm this one in Germany shows activity rising sharply but BZ index is positive, Mid latitude aurora warning but no radio aurora on vhf here

Another X class flare just now guys/girls (2nd one today)
Dave as far as I see it, unless the BZ index is very mush minus we never get visual aurorae down at these latitudes, there is no sign of activity here yet, seems unlikely either tonight, very often ham radio people (myself included) spot contacts via aurora here on this activity cluster under either 144 or 50mhz "CUSTOM SPOTS"

All that kind of went over my head, but a loose translation I believe is that there is strong geomagnetic activity over Ireland in the radio band. Due to bad weather for visual observations, radio frequencies are confirming activity as Charles spoke!

VHF radio aurora being reported right now as far south as Holland, looks good for here later, Kiruna dipped to -2200!!! last night, I don't ever remember seeing it that low b4, BZ index is minus right now, only thing is the weather is even worse than last night.....
Seanie, we will have to get u a ham radio licence morse included
