Ha! I'll be a whipper-snapper of an 83-year old.
Should be interesting to watch Halley, provided I'll be able to find by glasses and zimmerframe that is...
All we need by then are a few techological enhancements to bring our naked eye limiting magnitide down to about mag9. That would be fun!

Jaysus you are only a snapper.
How long before Hale-Bop comes our way again. I remember seeing that naked eye in the western skies. It was AMAZING. Two clearly visible tails......one blue(ish) white the other yellow.
Awesome sight.

I should be comfortably just into my 70's ... as a precautionary measure, I may just hit the annular eclipse at the start of 2009.
so you reckon you'll still be around for that one old fella?We also have an annular eclipse completely visible in the late 2020's ....
