Yes, I'm hoping to capture the Venus occultation using the same setup, as it seems to work.
No, I'm not into birdwatching as such - just random snapping
I first used a camera, one of my Dad's, in the early '70s though didn't really get into it until I bought an SLR in 1989 and took it from there!
The way to learn how to take good pictures involves taking lots and lots of bad ones.
