HI PJ,
there's no need to post about Iridium Flares on this site. Almost everyone here knows about where to find them (usually via heavens above), as their visibility is specific to location. Where seen, the +/- either side of the flare center is usually only a few tens of miles on the ground i.e. a Flare seen in Dublin is not that likely to be seen in Tullamore.

Only read about them yesterday and went out to find one last night. Damn clouds got in the way. Heavens Above was set to GMT but the atomic clock was an hour ahead. Scuse me ignorance but are we GMT or GMT +1 for heavens above settings ?

We are the exact time that heavens above shows, which is GMT + 1. Heavens above displays it in the table as "Local Time", so it should be correct for you unless your location is not set.
