Hi Folks,

I watched Endeavour separate from the International Space Station earlier this afternoon on NASA TV
www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/index.html

It should be possible to see them close together naked eye this evening.

Phil.

Just saw them now. Got out the 350D for a few shots, in between cloud. I'll see how they came out later.

Just in myself! How cool was that! The shuttle being chased by the station across the sky until they disappeared into shadow out over the Irish sea. What I thought was especially nice was that they mirrored Jupiter and Venus hanging lower down in the sky at about the same separation.

Roll on 19.05hrs and see how much further they are apart!

Glad you had a camera Seanie,

Phil.

That was cool!
I eas saying to a few at work the ISS was due to pass over at 5;30.
There were about 7 of us out in the car park looking up.
Then we saw the 2 points of light, It took me a sec to realize what the other one was!
They all thought it was cool.
A bit of impromptu sidewalk astronomy.
Just missed the second pass, how long until the shuttle lands?

You can see the remaining schedule for STS126 here: www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/mission_schedule.html

They are deploying a few orbital experiments on Saturday before shutting the cargo bay doors and dropping back into the air on Sunday.
