Another big Full Moon opportunity was created by johnflannery
Hi all,
The close Full Moon of December 12th was astonishing to see as it rose above the horizon. The Full Moon of January 11th, 2009 will be slightly less than 1000km more distant than the recent lunar perigee and will be the closest Full Moon of 2009. It's an opportunity to once again admire our companion world looming large above the horizon.
Annual lunar perigees and apogees can be computed at www.fourmilab.ch/earthview/pacalc.html
Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas and clear skies for 2009!
John

Hi John,
The timing could not have been worse for the 2009 perigee moon but what can one do?
Best wishes for the Holiday Season to you as well.
Anthony.
