Hi,
This year, 2009, double stars Castor (Alpha Geminorum) and Gamma Leonis have their components separated by the same amount, i.e. 4.6". This is just by coincidence.
Have a look with your telescope with a high power. What to you see in colour contrast? How easy or difficult are each pair to separate?
What Position Angle (PA) do your estimate each pair to be?. PA is the direction of the fainter component from the brighter component, zero degrees being north and measured north through east. Is Castor easier or more difficult.
I would be interested in your results. Do NOT bias yourself by reading about them before hand (any colour difference or magnitude difference in each pair).
