Atlantis will launch on the STS-129 mission at 2:28 p.m. EST Nov. 16.
That puts it's pass over Eire during dark hours.
I checked Heavens Above and the ISS track is at a fairly decent height.
May not be as high as last time but should still be worth looking out for
if we have clear skies and launch go's ahead on the day.

Looking at this, it would be better for us if the launch is delayed a day or two or three, the problem with the scheduled date and time being that Atlantis and the Tank are likely to be suberged in the Earth's shadow before we get to see them - an earlier launch window on any of the few following days would be better for us.

funny thing is that it does not predict the shuttle to pass over ireland this time.

Watching Nasa TV.
If I read the map on the wall of mission control correctly, it looks like the shuttle will pass well south of Ireland. ;-(

We looked out after dinner - about 15 to 20 mins after launch all teh ay up to about32 mins after launch - no sign
