Fireball? Saturday 7th August 2240hrs was created by Graham
Hi All!
Did anyone else see a fireball at 2240 on Saturday night?
From my POV it appeared to fall straight down,
It was brilliant white then it broke off into at least 3 bits and burned a greenie colour!

6 of us saw it Graham! We were out at the MAC Observing Site in Clonminch outside Tullamore. We were all just chatting around the campfire after eating up some tasty food when we all were happening to be looking up and spotted a very bright bollide through the broken cloud heading to the south. It was quick, and at first no one reported it breaking up, but we did get it to within 10 degrees of the horizon. It was bright, fast and a blue-green tint. I'll try and get some of the others to give their version of the sighting too.
Later,
Seanie.

It was my first fireball sighting!
I would have loved if I had seen it go behind or infront of something to give some perspective but it just burnt out about a 'few feet' ontop of the horizon on view.
