New Supernova in Galaxy M95 was created by Keith g
Hi all, a recent supernova has erupted in the galaxy Messier 95 in the constellation of Leo, quite close to where mars is right now. It's currently at magnitude13.2, so anyone of you with a large scope should have a reasonable cahnce of seeing it.
Announcements are here: SN2012aw www.cbat.eps.harvard.edu/lists/RecentSupernovae.html
Images to date: Ooops - can I do this with all this SOPA legislation?
Keith.

Managed to get a very weak hazy window on it tonight. Astrometrica was giving a mag of 12.6 but with the haze thats probably off by a fair bit.
