Just after 3am this morning a second but smaller CME hit the Earth's magnetic field sparking auroras over Iceland and Norway, luckily I was waiting for this and wtching the data carefully.
Like the previous night and as usual our Irish weather did not play ball but a short burst of activity happened at this time and I managed to image a nice green glow over the northern horizon with some structure and a hint of a red ray behind the clouds.

This my 8th auroral capture this year, I have a talk on how I do this which i gave a the Solar Fest 2012,if any club would like to hear it
