Hi Paul. According to
www.skyandtelescope.com
Ganymede's shadow didn't egress until 6 minutes to 1. So well done.

Thanks Aubrey, chuffed to bits with that . Once again you point me in the right direction and show me something I have never seen before. Cannot wait to see what you have planned for the next sidewalk astronomy night.

I'd better pick something good for next Friday, Paul. Ah yes, something does come to mind.

Ah Dave you should see Aubrey at the sidewalk events he is brilliant he shows up usually a bit after everyone else and starts his set up and lets face it his scope is a bit intimidating. He takes his time getting everything just right and then bang a double star, boom another double star with a different set up to the first, bang a carbon star and then the knockout blow one of the outer planets. Everyone gets a look and walks away dumbstruck by it.
I cannot wait to see what you have planned for us Aubrey fingers and toes will be crossed for clear skies on Friday.

I'll give you a clue -it's in Orion, and it's not M42, Dave.
