MAY ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION WINNER! (2007) was created by Seanie_Morris
It is with great pleasure that I get to announce that Kieran Rooney (again!), from Down, and member of the East Antrim Astronomy Society, is the Winner of the IFAS Astrophotography Competition for May!
Comet Lovejoy under satellite-trail attack. Taken with a 10" SCT F10 telescope and a H16 CCD camera on 7th May 2007 reprocessed 9th May 2007
Seanie, you have opened a can of worms for all those images that could not be posted before.
The unexpected and usually the completely unwanted. While imaging Comet Lovejoy I dumped all the images with flaws. When I tried another processing run I left them in and got this. Two consecutive images had satellite tracks and when combined this was the outcome.
Congratulations Kieran!
