Sorry to be pedantic... Does the competition refer to Earth's moon? Or can entries be submitted of other 'moons'? And presumably we're talking of celestial objects and not high-jinx images...
Lastly, is there any significance in the (2013) bit in the topic title? i.e. an image taken in 2013?

No, not you again Dave!
Seanie.
Earth's 'Moon'... I would have called the others 'satellites' perhaps?dmcdona wrote: Does the competition refer to Earth's moon? Or can entries be submitted of other 'moons'?
None, your photo could have been taken at any time by you or your team. It just can't have been a previous winner.dmcdona wrote: is there any significance in the (2013) bit in the topic title? i.e. an image taken in 2013?

I figure that "The" moon was probably a fair hint that it was Earth's moon.
But another query - the topic says "Your target for entry into July's competition will be on The Moon" - does that mean "your image must be of a target *on* the moon" - such as a lunar rover,
this:
http://thedanmancan.blogspot.ie/2011/11/wallace-gromit-grand-day-out-1989-12.html
or a crater/rille/mountain/mare etc etc.
After all, we don't want to descend back into the "globular cluster" debate of some years back... Or even the one about clouds (please God, no!).
Earth's moon it is (and not the one I had lined up of my bottom taken next to the Gaudi Cathedral last summer...)
