With the closure of the September 2013 Astrophotography Competition, it is time to judge the entries. Please view the images and cast your vote on the Poll included. There is no need to reply to this post, or add comments - people's views are their own but may seem to sway favour towards a particular photo if too many comments towards a particular photo is made.

You have only 1 Vote, so make it count. At short notice, this months prize is a weekend pass for the COSMOS 2014 Star Party including 2 nights B&B (taking place over the weekend April 4th to 6th near Tullamore), hosted by Midlands Astronomy Club.

M13, The great globular cluster in Hercules. 2hrs 36mins total exposure. 39x 240s subs @ ISO400. Data captured with CG5-GT, 450D & SW ED80 in April '13
Processed during Sept '13.

M2 Cluster, captured early September using a Skywatcher 250.

M13, July 19th 2013. Stack of eleven 30 second exposures (ISO 800) using an EOS500D + SN-10 + EQ6.

M35 in Gemini, along with the smaller and more compacted NGC2158 for company.

NGC2264 – Christmas Tree Cluster, taken about 18 months ago with the cooled DSLR camera.

Omega Centauri, taken with a C11 at F6.3 and a Canon 450D. This is a stack of 10x1 minute frames
