January Competition Theme - Silhouettes (2014) was created by Seanie_Morris
January's Competition Prize is kindly sponsored by:
I am proposing a different, creative kind of target for January's competition, and that will be on Silhouettes. Your photo can be one that entered in to a previous competition only if it was not a winner in the past. It can be astronomical, scenic or even artistic (e.g. on paper by hand). Get creative! It could be a foreground object against background star trails, view of the sky at twilight, aurora against some scenery, and more.
This Month's Prize
Has been kindly sponsored by Ktec Telescopes and is a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II camera lens .
Closing Date: Friday January 31st.
TO ENTER:
Entries are to be sent to ifasphoto@yahoo.ie and should be hosted off-site, and linked to that provider. DO NOT ATTACH/SEND PHOTOS VIA EMAIL.
PLEASE make all images no larger than 800 pixels in width. Those that are larger will be requested to be made smaller, or failure to reply will result in omission from the competition. Rules etc can be found here .
PLEASE also include your IFAS username with your entry.
Clear Skies & Good Luck!
Seanie Morris,
IFAS Astrophotography Competition Admin.

Just a few days left to enter, folks.
Believe me, this month has been difficult astronomically-speaking, but a few entries have come in nonetheless. Make sure you get your entry in before Saturday!
Send your entries with your IFAS username to ifasphoto@yahoo.com

Haven't seen a competition for a while. All the bad weather I guess?

Hi John,
No, just caught between too much work, bad email problems (Yahoo) and stuff like that. I personally have had a very busy February where I think I logged in only a handful of times here!
Updating the Astrophotography forums now...
