With the closure of the December 2013 Astrophotography Competition, it is time to judge the entries. Please view the images and cast your vote on the Poll included. There is no need to reply to this post, or add comments - people's views are their own but may seem to sway favour towards a particular photo if too many comments towards a particular photo is made.

You have only 1 Vote, so make it count. Thanks again to Scopes & Space Ltd. for their sponsorship of the prize for December, and is an Orion SkyQuest XT6 Classic Dobsonian Telescope (see December's competition thread here for details).


Jupiter #1

Jupiter: C11 at F25 using a colour DBK 21 camera



Jupiter #2

Jupiter and Europa on the morning of December 17th 2013. Taken with an 8" SCT using a planetary imaging camera and 2.5x powermate. Image stacking and processing was done in AS!2, Registax and Photoshop.



Jupiter #3

A 380 frames stacked with Deep Sky Stacker, taken with a Canon 40D with video recorded by BackyardEOS
