February's Competition Prize is kindly sponsored by:
During the years I have been administering the competition, I have been given things that I couldn't include in the monthly polls - like animations. Therefore, I am proposing another different kind of target for February's competition, and that will be on Astronomy Animations. Preferably, you should host your animation on YouTube or similar and send me the link to the enclosed email address below. That way, you can be sure there is adequate compression (with minimal loss in quality) by the hosting engine and therefore, by embedding it here, it will load faster.
This Month's Prize
Has been kindly sponsored by Scopes & Space Ltd. and is a pair of Celestron Skymaster 15 X 70 Binoculars .
Closing Date: Friday February 28th.
TO ENTER:
Entries with your hosted link are to be sent to ifasphoto@yahoo.ie and should be hosted off-site, and linked to that provider. DO NOT ATTACH/SEND VIDEOS VIA EMAIL.
As it is embedded video, I will make sure the embedded width size of your video does your entry justice (unless otherwise specified). As this kind of competition is outside of the general rules, please be aware that I may send you a request to amend your entry once received prior to polling.
PLEASE also include your IFAS username with your entry.
Clear Skies & Good Luck!

IFAS Astrophotography Competition Admin.

It is! There have been many time lapse movies of aurorae, noctilucent clouds, Jupiter transits and lunar conjunctions. I think now would be a good time to offer them up as part of our monthly competition.
