WANTED: SN Search Team was created by dmcdona
Folks - I'm looking for anyone who can do any of the following:
1. Image 10 galaxies in a night
2. Blink images
3. Provide confirmation images (if you can do 1, you can do this too!)
4. Co-ordinate data
Minimum requirements would be a PC and an internet connection. (If you can read this, that'll do!)
Imagers will obviously need an imaging setup that can take images of around 60 seconds duration with no trailing. Image resolutions should be in the 0.5 to 5 arcsec/pixel at 1*1 binning.
Blinkers - all you need is a PC and an internet connection. Additional software will be provided.
Cheers
Dave

Dave,
Which 10 galaxies? With the fork mount I can't guide & image near the pole.

Kieran - I'm hoping to get a list of a couple of hundred galaxies - that should make sure those with fork mounts can image a good portion of the list. Of course, if you can image more than 10, that'd be great!
Hope that helps...
Cheers

Dave,
Count me in for some blinking.
PM me the details.
I'm busy as hell right now but shur isn't it always the way.
I may as well be hung for a supernova as a nova.

Cheers Frank. As soon as we get the images flowing in, we'll get all the blinkers sorted out.
By the way, blinking is actually fairly quick and easy. I'd guess you could easily do at least one comparison every 20 seconds or so. Depending on the numbers of images coming in (and clear skies of course) you might only need to do it once a week or less.
Any other imagers out there?
Cheers
