Problem with logging in

I don't know if anybody else has been having this problem, but when I try to log in, the forum usually doesn't actually log me in. My name is shown in the list of online users at the bottom of the main forum page, but I have to log in again to be able to do anything, which means I lose the orange flags marking unread posts.
This has never happened on any of the other boards I've been on.
Any ideas?
Cathy

I hadn't thought of checking with Internet Explorer - I just logged in with that, and the problem doesn't happen. So in future, I'll just use IE for this site!
Thanks,
Cathy

If this is the page you speak of when you log in first, or even click "Community" along the nav bar towards the top of this page/site, then your name will be displayed for about 5 minutes even after you have logged out...

I've been a registered user since October of last year. And I'm using Mozilla Firefox.
I hadn't thought of checking with Internet Explorer - I just logged in with that, and the problem doesn't happen. So in future, I'll just use IE for this site!
Thanks,
Cathy
No no! Keep using Fire Fox! IE is dangerous!!!!!
Just clear all your cookies and the problem should go away. Apparently one or two people have had this problem since the last update to the site but it seems to go away once you clear your cookies.
I myself use Firefox for this and every other site with no problems.
