Not with our current hosting no. This kind of thing required dedicated hosting which as far as I can tell is beyond our current budget.

i don't know if this is possible or if there would be interest in it, but would it be possible to create a web based irc channel within the site. i have seen this done with java on some other sites. it might be interesting having some realtime discussions on the site.
