Files section was created by albertw
Hi folks,

A couple of people have asked where the files section is gone. Can it be re-added to the main page please?

Cheers,
~Albert

Ah .... yea .... interesting point ..... it can't be added straight off because it's not really in a usable state right now .... it will need a fair bit of work to get it into the new design. The other thing is that I was under the impression that we'd decided to diss-continue it since it's pretty much our biggest bandwidth drain and it is also being abused horrendously with people hot-linking to files on it.

I think the committee and the web-group will need to have a chat about this one.

Bart.

ok well in the mean time can people please use external image hosting sites rather than the files section or their own websites. Consider using www.flickr.com and add a tag to your images of IrishAstronomy.

The benefit of doing this is that all the pictues that people use here will be easily visible on one external image site and people can view them on this site www.flickr.com/photos/tags/irishastronomy/

Cheers,
~Al
