:lol: The title says it all, I'm getting 2 emails for posts made.

Sometimes a glitch happens, but it is almost always user-based.

When someone posts a new message, and a delay occurs in geeting back to the 'View your new message' status and refresh, the poster probably becomes impatient and clicks 'Refresh' trying to get to that screen to see their new message. Usually, this means 2 new messages (posts/threads). Therefore, you get 2 e-mails on it. The odd time we have had server-side issues like this, you would have gotten multiple e-mail notifications on the same one topic.

It's just a bottleneck at that moment in time, probably something like too much traffic hammering the server at one time etc.

I'm still getting 2 notifications for pasts made and I dont think the above is the reason. Maybe I'm getting one as a normal user and a second one as mod ??

No, but you could get 2 if you were an admin.

So, for every topic posted in the last 30-odd hours, you have received 2 e-mail notifications to the same e-mail address?

Pretty much, except I'm not sure about the 30 hours, I dont mind really as long as its not a fault.
