"Telescopes & Binoculars" was created by michaeloconnell
I was wondering if there is any chance we could have a forum on "Telescopes & Binoculars" (or similar.
Within this we could have a few running topics on Meade, Celestron, Amateur Telescope Making, Binos, Dobsonians, etc..

That's a good idea Michael, i don't know if this is already suggested but we could also include equipment such as eyepieces, finders, etc...

Thanks Keith. We could also discuss things like "buying my first scope" which i'm sure alot of us would be keen to add our 2c in order to help those completely new to the hobby. I think most of us know the pitfalls of TASCO et al. so it would be no harm to provide unbiased advice to those looking to explore the heavens in more detail.
Besides, there's only so much you can talk about cosmology!
I want to talk about REAL astronomy - where you're out there in the cold freezing your butt off!!

I agree, a forum on scopes + equipment would be great.
All our gripes/complaints/praises and opinions.
I think the Telescope Review section should be in here
I certainly got my scope through shall we call an inefficent means, and I'd hate to see other repeat this.
A brave man it is who belittles cosmology knowing who else read these pages.....
