Avatars

This is weird in the extreme - I could see my avatar when I posted my last message and now it has gone again!

I'm using FileZilla FTP to set permissions (755 for the directory and 644 for the avatar1.gif) That seems to work ok with other image files in other directories!

Check out ochra.110mb.com for similar settings that I know others can see.

Your host may not allow direct-linking of images. It's not un-common for cheap or free hosting to place such restrictions.

I think most members use services like flicker for hosting their avatars.

I use Photobucket! Its free! Flickr requires a yahoo email account i think and i already have 2!
