How about a moon phase on the homepage? was created by Keith g
Hi guys, just a little thought, a nice help would be too set up a moon phase on the homepage to help us all decide on our activities regarding the moon at any given night. e.g moon observing, astrophotography etc.
Could you possibly add this one to the site? What do you think?

Thanks,

I had a similar applet on my desktop PC that also gave rise and set times as well as libration and phase which I found very useful. Only problem is... I've lost it now! Does anyone have something similar?

Close... but no cigar! I have NightCal but it's a wee bit clunky and cluttered. The applet I was thinking of was very similar to the Desk-bar gadget mentioned earlier. This is bugging me now... I'm going to have to look for it!

Found it! The util I was thinking of was MoonTool.

You can download the C source code if anyone wants to rewrite it in PHP or Java to include it in a website! The applet actually gives more info than is strictly necessary but I found it very useful in the past.
