Hi,

Any chance we can change the IYA logo on the front page to the official Irish one on www.astronomy2009.ie ?

To say my Irish language skills are rusty would be a compliment. Never got more than a year of Irish language in a Christian Brothers school :shock: . My lack of Irish shames me......I am more fluent in Portugeuse and French than my own native tongue. The official one looks better but can we have both for us illiterates.

The official Irish one is the official IYA Irish one for Ireland! The translation from NUIG and the IYA folks did the design.

Plus the translation is better than the original English. "Open your eyes to the beauty of the universe" is better than "The Universe - yours to discover"

Look, lets be practical here,
Surely we could have both, one in each side column, one on the left and the other in the right with the text in between. It would fit perfectly.!!

I'm like kieran ,a wee bit rusty but i like it and and i agree Al the translation is more attractive.
