Firstly, this site is very good. Glad I joined. Pleasing to the eye. Well laid out.
One addition, that would be nice, would be to have descriptions next to photographs (in place of or in addition to the current file descriptor) so that the photographer can explain in more detail the equipment, method and processing used to create the photograph. Maybe a template created to aid this.
It would help the beginner learn something of the process involved.

I was actually thinking of making a propoer galelry for astro photography where people can enter loads of meta data so we can all learn from each other. The problem is that I have loads of ideas but very litttle time as I am trying to finish my PhD ATM.
