I was at that lecture and walked out of it. A little heavy on the math? It was all math! I was so disaspointed with that lecture. I was really confused and I'm a physics student. I pity the general public.

Luckily, the general public's interest in Relativity is about as strong as my interest in, er, (thinks about a non-controversial topic) the taxonomy of European mosses... :D

Ah.. but whats your position on the classification of Sphagnum palustre and Sphagnum cuspidatum as different species and not just two sub species.

Really makes my blood boil to see this misclassification

Cheers

Doh!

Doh? Come on Dave, you can do better than that!

OK - the great Chrysanthemum scandal of the late 80's really gets my goat. How on earth the IAPT* could demote it to Dendranthema is beyond me.

Luckily enough, the direct action campaign of the early 90's by the CLT* saved the day and restored the Chrysanthemum to its rightful place (see 'The Potting Shed Papers', Charles Elliot).

Is that better Bill? :D
