In this photo here, is it me, or do the galaxies etc appear to spiral or radiate around the outside of the frame?? There's an optical illusion there!


Probably the hallucinogenic substances Seanie :D

Seriously, doesnt look like that to me. Maybe your monitor? Pincushion settings?

I'm afraid I must have "pincushion of the eyeball"! When I said about that optical illusion, it was on the monitor at work, but now I'm at home, I still see it on the home monitor!! :!:

For me, its like the image was taken with a fish eye lens, which isn't true right?
So, If I look at the image deep enough, its like the outer objects tend to circle the middle, like they are being pulled towards the centre!

maybe the illusion is been caused in your minds eye by the fact that there appears to be a circumferance of big objects towards some of the sides??
