Everyone in Ireland buys Meade, and they all buy them from Lidl.

Only 12 hours to go.
And I just *happen* to be in Madrid....

The weather in the East of Ireland:
'Clear skies, no wind, temperatures in the low 30's'
The weather for Madrid:
'Squally showers starting at dawn, continuing for at least 4 hours. Heavy cloud, high winds, risk of thunder and lightening. Temperatures hovering above freezing'
Being on the path of 'totality', I hope it goes really well for you - have a good one and send us in any images you can get.
Cheers

It looks like our typical damn weather is going to let us down once again !!!
The last few mornings looked someway promising, in that you would have got some glimpose of it, but today was blanket cloud, tomorrow will probabily be the same.
All the same I'll be ready, all we need is a 10 second gap in the clouds.!!

Best wishes for clear weather to all of my Irish friends for tomorrow's eclipse. Predictions here in Greece are for perfect weather and skies and I am very eager to get started on the three-hr imaging of the eclipse starting just after 11:00 AM local time.
Let's all share tomorrow lots of cool photos!
Anthony.
